Dear Praying Friends,
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2Co 12:9
Thank you for interceding with us. We have been granted A3 and A4 Visa quite easily, we were very amazed. The whole process was very quick. The lady behind one of the many desks remembered Emile and smiled at us. The Lord has, indeed, been good!
We rejoice in the new found work of distributing your funds to homeless Sudanese sleeping outside in a park in Tel Aviv. We thank the Lord for allowing us to meet Pastor T who is a man with great faith and tremendous vision. Emile helps with distributing the lentil-vegetable soup and prepares the spices ahead of time. He has a special Sudanese friend named “Mousa” who asked him about the Bible. Emile stays in Tel Aviv anywhere from 7 to 10 hours at a time; however, since these men have not certain dwelling it is difficult to find the same person. Emile has turned 67 years old and he still has much energy to do this and enjoys it. We have prayed for years for Sudan. What a good reminder for us to be thankful for the housing that we are blessed with. We often hear young people say that they are “bored.” They do not stop to think that they have been blessed by the Lord not to have to wonder where they will sleep for the night. The youth are not the only ones to forget so quickly to be thankful. I can say with confidence it is an attribute of the young and old. Even for real believers it is a constant battle within ourselves to be content and appreciative of what we have.
Several different individuals come or call Emile (some almost every day) for counsel. Help also on the computer can be given. Some people really need another human being with whom to communicate. “I just have some questions to ask” one said. One blind lady stayed with us for a week and when she got home she called and said “now I am alone again” :( .
We have a wonderful helper, Jonathan, with our Bible Club. The Children are not used to sitting down on their day off, Friday. However, when they are engaged in Bible questions or games they pay attention. We had a good discussion about fasting with one of the parents. Once we did T-shirt crafts which they enjoyed immensely.
Jonathan is currently teaching about being born again to our young friends.
What people say to us:
 My family will not allow me even to greet the neighbors.
 I don’t feel like living another day.
 When someone becomes a true friend, I cannot stop talking with them.
 There are no other people who care about me as much as you, who do I have?
 You are so kind it disturbs me.
 This is the holy place (our tiny apartment with the small balcony) Emile and Dianne Barrouk
